Aprendizaje y Celebración en el Centro de Recursos Justo y Catherine González
El pasado 11 de enero el Centro González (oficialmente, el “Centro de Recursos Teológicos Justo y Catherine González”) sirvió de anfitrión durante todo el día para un curso intensivo ofrecido por la Escuela de Teología Candler, que es parte de la Universidad de Emory. Más tarde, el profesor que dirigía el curso, el Dr. Antonio Alonso, comentó:
“Estoy profundamente agradecido por la bondad, sabiduría y hospitalidad que nos brindaron el jueves durante nuestra visita al Centro. El punto culminante de la semana fue la oportunidad de relacionarnos con ustedes. Los estudiantes pudieron ver cómo muchos de los temas que hemos estado estudiando cobran vida de maneras hermosas en lo que hacen ustedes en el Centro y más allá. El tenerles como compañeros en esta tarea es verdaderamente una gran bendición.”
Al recibir esta nota de agradecimiento, Justo González, a nombre de todas las personas que trabajan en el centro y cooperan con él, señaló que:
“Este testimonio –y otros semejantes– confirman el valor de lo que estamos haciendo en el Centro, y nos dan impulso en la tarea de apoyar y acelerar nuestras labores. Aquí estamos al servicio de todos.”

The Learning and Celebration at the Justo and Catherine Gonzalez Resource Center
On the 11th of January, the González Center (officially, the “Justo and Catherine Theological Resource Center“) hosted an all-day session of an intensive January course being offered at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Later Dr. Antonio Alonso, the professor offering the course, commented:
“I am so deeply grateful for your kindness, wisdom, and hospitality during our visit to the Center on Thursday. It was the high point of the week to be able to engage with you. Our students were able to see how so many of the themes we had been unfolding come alive in beautiful living ways through your work at the Center and beyond. It is a true blessing to have you as partners in this work.”
Upon receiving this word of encouragement, Justo González, speaking for all who work at the Center and for those who support it, declared that:
“This testimony –and others like it– reaffirm us in the conviction that we are doing at the Center is significant, and compel us to find ways to continue supporting and expanding our work as we seek to serve others.”
We applaud the generations that develop a heightened sensitivity towards theological work, providing them with the necessary resources and spaces to foster the continuous growth of their academic careers. #weareAETH
