Rev. Dr. Justo González
El Dr. Justo L. González nació y creció en Cuba. En 1957 fue ordenado ministro de la Iglesia Metodista y en 1961 se convirtió en la persona más joven en obtener un doctorado en historia teológica de la Universidad de Yale. Durante treinta años el Dr. González enseñó en diversas instituciones teológicas, comenzando con ocho años en el Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico (1961-1969). Ha dado cientos de conferencias en Norteamérica, Sudamérica, Europa y Asia. También ha escrito más de cien libros, quizás los más conocidos sean su conjunto de dos volúmenes, Historia del cristianismo, y sus tres volúmenes, Historia del pensamiento cristiano, que han sido traducidos a ocho idiomas. Después de retirarse de la enseñanza a tiempo completo (1977) y del ministerio (1992), ha dedicado su tiempo a investigar, escribir y promover la educación teológica hispana. Como parte de este último, el Dr. González participó en la fundación de la Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana (AETH), la Iniciativa Teológica Hispana (HTI) y el Programa de Verano Hispano (HSP). La actividad que más valora y aprecia es asesorar y alentar a latinas, latinos y otros estudiantes minoritarios.
Dr. Justo L. González was born and raised in Cuba. In 1957 he was ordained as a minister within the Methodist Church, and in 1961 he became the youngest person to earn a doctorate in theological history from Yale University. For thirty years Dr. González taught at various theological institutions, beginning with eight years at the Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico (1961-1969). He has given hundreds of lectures in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. He has also written over one hundred books, perhaps the best known of which are his two-volume set, History of Christianity, and his three volumes, History of Christian Thought, which have been translated into eight languages. After retiring from full-time teaching (1977) and the ministry (1992), he has dedicated his time to research, writing, and promoting Hispanic theological education. As part of the latter, Dr. González was involved in the founding of the Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana (AETH), the Hispanic Theological Initiative (HTI), and the Hispanic Summer Program (HSP). The activity he most values and appreciates is mentoring and encouraging Latinas and Latinos and other minority students.

Jackie Rojas
Jackie Rojas nació en El Paso, Texas y fue criada en una familia católica Mexicana Americana. Es una orgullosa alumna de la escuela católica para mujeres, Saint Mary’s College en South Bend, Indiana donde se especializó en química, estudios religiosos, e italiano. Después de graduarse, hizo un año de servicio con Jesuit Volunteer Corps en Boston, Massachusetts, como voluntaria con St. Stephen’s Youth Programs e Iglesia Episcopal. Actualmente es estudiante de Maestría en Divinidad en Candler School of Theology y trabaja para la Academia de Estudios Teológicos La Mesa que preparar a diversos líderes de la iglesia para ministerio global con estudios en inglés, español y coreano. Durante su estancia en Candler, espera cultivar un espacio placentero y acogedor para la comunidad latina y católica, y espera trabajar en espacios interreligioso y ecuménicos.
Jackie Rojas was born in El Paso, Texas to a Mexican American Catholic family. She is a proud alumna of the all-women’s Catholic school, Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana where she studied chemistry, religious studies, and Italian. After graduation, she did a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Boston, Massachusetts volunteering with St. Stephen’s Youth Programs and Episcopal Church. She is currently a Master of Divinity student at Candler School of Theology and works for La Mesa Academy for Theological Studies that prepare diverse church leaders for global ministry with studies in English, Spanish, and Korean. During her time at Candler, she hopes to cultivate a safe and welcoming space for the Latine and Catholic community and hopes to work in interfaith and ecumenical spaces.

Grace Martino Suprice
Es la Coordinadora del Compañerismo Bautista Cooperativo (CBF) del Noreste y es una especialista de Alcance y Crecimiento de las oficinas globales de CBF. En ambas capacidades, busca cultivar el compromiso y enlaces con personas compremetidas con el reino, capellanes, personal de campo y organizaciones, así como entidades nuevas a CBF. También trabaja con FAMILIA, la Red Latina de CBF, para garantizar el crecimiento y la pertenencia de las personas latinas dentro del Compañerismo
Grace se graduó con un doble bachillerato en Ministerios Urbanos y Sociología de Gordon College en Wenham, MA y obtuvo su Maestría en Políticas y Prácticas de Desarrollo Comunitario de la Universidad de New Hampshire. Desde temprana edad ha servido en varios ministerios congregacionales y paraeclesiásticos en todo Estados Unidos. Grace también trabajó como pasante en AETH, formó parte del Comité Directivo de ReDET y es cofundadora de Young Líderes.
Grace es oriunda de Castañer, Puerto Rico, y actualmente reside en New London, CT con su esposo, Benji Suprice, y su hija perruna, Osa.
Grace Martino-Suprice is the Coordinator for the Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast and an Outreach and Growth Specialist at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In both these capacities she seeks to cultivate engagement and partnerships with faithful individuals, chaplains, field personnel and organizations as well as entities new to CBF. She also works with FAMILIA, CBF’s Latino Network, to ensure the growth and belonging of Latine persons within the Fellowship.
Grace is an Urban Ministry and Sociology graduate from Gordon College in Wenham, MA and got her Masters in Community Development Policy and Practice from the University of New Hampshire. Since an early age she has served with various congregational and parachurch ministries all over the United States. Grace has also worked as an intern with AETH, served on the Steering Committee for ReDET, and is a co-founder of Young Líderes.
Grace is a native to Castañer, Puerto Rico but currently resides in New London, CT with her husband, Benji Suprice, and their puppy, Osa.
